Dr Mehrdad Silatani | Chief Operating Officer
Mehrdad has more than 5 years’ experience in product and technology development, working with number of different industries such as process & automation (Endress+Hauser), water (Thames Water, Anglian Water, Certikin, Evolution Aqua) and O&G (Saudi Aramco). He completed his PhD in Cranfield University in 2016 where he developed a new device for harvesting energy for wireless sensors in water distribution networks.

Dr Prafull Sharma | Chief Technical Officer, Co-inventor
Prafull is a co-inventor of CorrosionRADAR. An ex-GE engineer, Prafull worked for more than 10 years at one of the largest multi-disciplinary corporate R&D organisations, where he led global projects and invented several sensing technologies. Prafull also worked on consultancy research projects for global giants including Chevron, Petrofac, Endress+Hauser, FLEXIM to name a few. Prafull is a prolific inventor and carries more than 15 international patents to his credit.
Dr Shailendra Vyakaranam | Advisor
Dr Vyakarnam worked in industry for several years before completing his MBA and PhD at Cranfield. He has combined academic, practitioner and policy interests to provide advice to governments and on the development of entrepreneurial ecosystems, technology commercialisation and entrepreneurship education. He has mentored entrepreneurs and held non-executive directorships of small firms in addition to developing growth programmes for SMEs over several years.
CorrosionRADAR has a strong team with combined experience of 50+ years in developing technological solutions for various industries such as O&G, Civil and Process Automation. The team‘s experience stretches from innovation management, technology solutions to product and business development. Additionally, the team has technical expertise in areas including sensors, non-destructive testing, big data & data processing and wireless sensors. The team also benefits from close links with O&G and Energy industries.
Dr Brijesh Roy | Non Executive Director
Brijesh is focused on making investments into university spin-out companies based on technology arising from academic research, leading deal sourcing relationships with university partners across the Midlands. Brijesh sits on the board of several companies with non-executive roles in diverse sectors including cybersecurity, antimicrobials, technology transfer, nanotechnology and immuno-oncology. Brijesh previously spent five years at Oxford University Innovation leading the commercialisation of a large technology portfolio.
Prof (Emeritus) Hoi Yeung | Scientific Advisor, Co-inventor
Hoi has been involved in oil and gas industry for over 25 years. He has over 100 publications and a number of patents and is famed for the development of several industrial solutions. Before his emeritus status, Hoi retired as Head of Oil & Gas Engineering Centre at Cranfield University that has a global reputation for delivering cutting edge research to the technology needs of the industry. The centre works with several large oil companies namely BP, TOTAL, Chevron, Schlumberger and provides support to technology development for SMEs.
Dr Chiraz Ennaceur | Chief Executive Officer
Chiraz has more than 15 years of experience in driving new technologies from research to product development. Until recently, Chiraz was the Programme Manager at TWI Ltd for the Structural Integrity Research Foundation (SIRF) – a £150m industry focused strategic research partnership. She is credited with establishing key strategic partnerships through the development of innovative business models and identified funding routes to de-risk technology developments.
Antony Davies | Business Development Manager
A recent graduate from the Cranfield MBA program, Antony has over ten years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry, working for numerous international clients including Schlumberger, Total, BP and Saudi Aramco in both technical and business development roles.
Dr Stephanie Hussels | Advisor
Stephanie is the Director of the Business Growth Programme (BGP) at Cranfield School of Management and previously the Director of the full-time MBA programme at Cranfield. Stephanie teaches on executive, graduate, and doctoral levels on entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial finance, family business and quantitative research methods. Besides working with entrepreneurs, Stephanie cooperates with charities and firms on how to encourage and implement intrapreneurship. Her current research focuses on entrepreneurial resilience, family business and business survival.
